Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada's team
of senior leaders across the country are dedicated to helping people who are
blind or partially sighted enhance their independence, safety and mobility.
John M. Rafferty, President and CEO
John joined Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada in
2019 as the organization’s inaugural president and CEO. John is also the
president and CEO of our two affiliate organizations, the CNIB Foundation and
CNIB Deafblind Community Services. He is a member of the C.D. Howe Institute’s
Health Policy Council and the Board of Directors for Accessible Media Inc., and
is chair of Vision 2020 Canada. In 2012, he earned the Queen Elizabeth II
Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Josie
McGee, Vice President, Healthcare Innovation
Josie is the executive lead for government
relations, business development and growth of Vision Loss Rehabilitation
Canada, and has operational responsibility for Western Canada. She is an
occupational therapist with 19 years of previous healthcare and business
development experience. Before joining the team in 2019, she held the role of
national director, healthcare innovation at CBI Health Group.
Christopher
McLean, Vice President, Service Quality and Health Standards
Christopher is responsible for business intelligence,
quality assurance and regulatory compliance for Vision Loss Rehabilitation
Canada's health services. He joined us in 2018 after 15 years with our
affiliate organization, the CNIB Foundation, where he held progressive roles in
philanthropy, government relations and rehabilitation service management. He is
the former board chair of Halton Family Services.
Jin
Shen, Director, Finance
Jin is responsible for Vision Loss Rehabilitation
Canada's finance strategy and financial operations. He joined us in 2018, after
working as the director of finance and corporate services at the College of
Occupational Therapists of Ontario. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant,
a Certified General Accountant and has a Master of Business Administration
degree.
Jennifer
Urosevic, Vice President, Healthcare Operations
Jennifer is responsible for leading Vision Loss
Rehabilitation Canada's service delivery operations in Ontario and Quebec. As
Vice President of Healthcare Operations, she also provides oversight of
organizational accreditation and operational standards for health care
services. Jennifer has spent more than 20 years managing various levels of
vision loss rehabilitation, and has presented globally on a variety of topics
including, early skills in orientation and mobility, accessibility of the built
environment, youth programs and pathways to vision rehabilitation.
